Hey George, I like the Alien Invasion idea, it could lead almost anywhere with all kind of tangent spin offs. Space exploration is also very interesting for the same reasons.Of course my favorite is Military SciFi, so anything there would be a hit with me. I like your story telling style and look forward to the new year and more good reads.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Jimmy. I have an alien invasion story planned out that I’m looking to tell sometime soon.

I’m too late but my choice would have been the High Tech series. I always like to read that kind of thing.I have always found engineering related stuff interesting. I drove my mom crazy asking her questions like “Who invented the wheel? What made that think to invent that?”. She said she never knew what to expect from me….lol.

Well, I see I’m already to late to ake the cut, but me being me, you get to read it here anyway… LOL…Ok, remember you asked for it!!! Never leave me an opening… LOL.. I like the invasion, but you need a heroine too… Sometimes it’s us women who have to save you guys… Before any off you want to spout out how a girl can’t really save a manly man, let me tell you a thing or two… How many women do you know who roofed houses for a living while raising 3 small kids on her own… No mommy are daddy’s stepped in to lend a helping hand and their father sure wasn’t… I can build a house from the ground up, auto body, can teardown a motor and put it back together and take it for THE drive to make sure it meets your standards… Had more fights with men than you could even contemplate, can shoot any gun and hit the target tap dead center… Oh, and I’m not to bad with a knife either… Yeah, the invasion has a lot of twists and turns and weaves… You have the great imagination and drive to accomplish the task to perfection without skipping a beat…. Oh, and as an added bonus, I think I’m gonna be doing your reviews… Man this is gonna be fun…

Awesome! I like strong women characters, too. That said, I think I am better at writing male protagonists. We’ll see. šŸ™‚

I read a lot of Sci-Fi and there is so much out there now that is almost formulaic with the same plot line with minor modifications in time, location, etc. Your work is all over the place with unusual characters, quirky plots, social engineering, and more. Always something different – which is why I enjoy reading it!

I have always liked Tom Clancy books and Sci-Fi so a Military Sci-fi story sounds cool to me.

I enjoy different ways of thinking. How about high tech with a spin. Scientist, janitors who have bravery and a mind, along with shapes shifters and marines. With a Tom Clancy spin. Could be humorous too. Might be fun to write, as well.

I have always loved Sci Fi. My choice would be alien invasion. Ever since I saw, the day the world stood still. Not the newer version though a good movie, I like the classics. You are a great writer and I love your diversity with your topics and characters. I know I am too late and it won’t make a difference but wanted to tell you anyways. Haha

Would definitely have chosen Alien Invasion. Looks like several others would have too…. We were just a bit too slow šŸ™ lol. I am sure anything you write will be unique and interesting. Ever thought about post apocalyptic? Come on… You know, you have….

My main comment is “Don’t do it.” Serials, unless you are a Stephen King or Dean Koontz, are not the way to go. When I get into a good story I don’t want to wait 10 months to finish it. Most authors find out they start losing significant readership after the fourth month.
As you said, it will cost someone who reads it by the month $19.00 to read it. I won’t pay that much for Issac Asimov, Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle, Francis K. Dick, Andre Norton, or any other author, new or old. There are too many quality Indie Sci-Fi authors out there giving away there books or selling them from $0.99 to $2.99 for me to pay more than that for something I won’t get to finish for a year. I’ll wait a year and read it all at once.
When I published Poker Insider Magazine, I always included a section of my book “Winning Blue-Collar Hold’em.” It was similar to a serial, though it’s purpose was to get people to buy the book, not just read it from month to month.

If you think you can replace my writing with just any old author’s free books, then you’re not my target audience, and I would be a fool to listen to anything you have to say. This is an opportunity for my fans to help me produce a story they want to read, while showing their support for me in the process. It’s not for everybody, just for those who find that there is something special in my stories that they’re not getting anywhere else. Best wishes.

Although too late to the party, my vote is for High-Tech. The universe of of this genre is considerably smaller than the combined unvierse of all the other genres. I love both sci-fi and thrillers and especially the combination of the two!
